I
am a researcher and consultant in social sciences, with over 19 years
of experience in academia and in the fields of human rights,
development, peacebuilding, and humanitarian action.
I offer desk- and field-based services to aid organisations to support their action and learning on issues such as local and international political economy, social change, or violent conflicts. Throughout my work, I pay systematic attention to structures of inequalities, including socio-economic class, caste, gender, age, ethnicity, and disabilities.
I also pursue my own academic research, which focuses on human rights and on collective action. I have done substantial work on international organisations, and have been developing my field research in the Middle East. I obtained my Ph.D. in political science from Sciences Po Paris. My dissertation explained the political sociology of how torture developed into a multilateral issue at the UN and in two regional organisations.
I am a native French speaker. I am also fluent in English and German, have a working knowledge of Spanish, and have familiarity with Standard and Levantine Arabic.
